Rule 50
Method of requesting leave
(1) In order to grant leave other than rules 46 and 47, the employee should submit an application to the leave granting officer in the form of Schedule-10, if the employee needs to go abroad for the duration, reason and reason of the leave, and the leave granting officer must also confirm whether the leave has been approved or rejected. The notice should be given to that employee.
(2) Out of the leave requested according to sub-rule (1), the following leave shall be approved or rejected in the following period:-
(a) within seven days in the case of home leave and sick leave,
(b) within sixty days in case of extraordinary leave, study leave and unpaid leave.
(3) If there is no decision to approve or disapprove the leave within the period as per sub-rule (2), then the leave shall be deemed to have been approved. However, in the case of leave that needs to be acknowledged according to this regulation, the employee concerned will not be allowed to stay on leave without such acknowledgment.
(4) If the leave granting officer is satisfied with the following matters, he may approve the leave from a date earlier than the date of the application.
(a) that it was not possible to obtain the prior approval of the sanctioning authority,
(b) That the applicant had made every effort to obtain prior approval,
(5) In addition to other things, the following things should be mentioned mainly when applying for study leave:-
(a) Description of the subject you intend to study,
(b) the details and period of time for which admission was granted to the university, institution or training center to be studied,
(c) Other necessary details that will assist the committee in considering such leave.
